Zoom AI Companion: You may have recently noticed the “AI Companion” in the bottom toolbar on Zoom video calls. A feature of the AI Companion includes a recap of what has been discussed so far if you arrive late to a video call. You can also ask AI Companion more specific questions about the meeting content. Each of these AI platforms swiftly process vast amounts of data, uncovering patterns and insights that largely elude human observation. This capability allows for efficient research, administration, and communications, and empowers businesses to make data-driven decisions to optimise resource allocation and improve productivity.
In creative industries, the ability of AI platforms to automate repetitive tasks liberates users to focus on high-level, artistic endeavours, drawing on contextual comprehension, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and critical thinking – skills that humans excel at, but which remain challenging for AI systems.

As with the integration of any new technological system, it is critical to test the capabilities and limitations of these noteworthy platforms in order for them to deliver true value. Ultimately, optimal efficiency derives from a dynamic interplay between AI technology and the irreplaceable attributes of human cognition. Given AI is ‘by design,’ NHO seeks to elevate its potential for positive impact through a considered approach that honours ethical considerations, authenticity, and creativity – another tool in our toolkit, which we intend to put to good use.
