We’ve often dreamt of taking a peek inside the homes of our muses – so we were thrilled to learn that New York Living Rooms, a photo book by Dominique Nabokov, is officially being re-issued.
Originally commissioned as a photo essay for The New Yorker magazine in the late 90s, Nabokov captures the intimate living spaces of some of NYC’s most intriguing figures – from Louise Bourgeois to Joan Didion. Nabokov’s polaroid photography lends an honest, unfussy depiction of everyday spaces driven by the desire to capture still images that mirror reality as closely as possible. Stay tuned for the Paris and Berlin instalments, due for release later this year.
