We often reflect on what makes design pieces endure, so when we heard NYC will enjoy a retrospective exhibition of Verner Panton’s iconic work, we were more than keen to visit.
‘Verner Panton,’ presented by R & Company, shows a panoply of rare and iconic objects, furniture pieces, lamps and textiles that celebrate the Danish designer’s imaginative and playful vision. Collected over the course of three years, the display highlights R & Company‘s commitment to reviving the market for Panton works, which has laid dormant for many years due to the scarcity of original pieces.

The exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of R & Company‘s inaugural showcase of Panton’s work. Both exhibitions suspend Panton’s design pieces in a rich and immersive environment – just as Panton originally conceived.
Traversing the gallery displays, visitors are invited to connect with the designer’s rich and imaginative world. Panton’s singular approach to form, colour and material reaffirms his contribution to contemporary design – but also, reveals the synergy of the designer’s oeuvre driven by an established world view.
