Works by Vincenzo De Cotiis
20.11.19

We couldn’t wait to get our hands on the newly released tome, Vincenzo De Cotiis: Works, published by Rizzoli New York. Having been introduced to VDC’s gallery by a friend in Milan some years ago, he quickly became a firm NHO favourite for his utterly individual expression. As Anne Bony says in the book’s introduction, “It is a priceless gift to discover an artist’s body of work. My brief and intense exchange with the works of Vincenzo De Cotiis left a deep impression on me, stimulating an analysis.” The publisher describes Vincenzo as being preoccupied with the weathering effect of time. His objects marry patinated and uneven finishes in compositions that incorporate traditional Italian craftsmanship and materials; a respectful nod to the influence of his forefathers, Gio Ponti and Carlo Scarpa. This beautiful book is a highly recommended collectible for your festive wish list. Photography courtesy of Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
